Black History Month Art & Music Reception

Main Library – Saturday, Feb. 13 3-4 pm. Our February artist is Ronald Freeman.  Live music will be provided by pianist Bob Richards.

Ronald Freeman writes: My inspiration comes from the music and movement that surrounds me. Music being my first love creates a visual and very personal experience which is portrayed in my work. I’m intrigue at the ability to make marks that eventually become an image. This personal renaissance gives me the opportunity to experiment with various techniques & color pallets while creating expressive and meaningful artwork.”

He works in Oils, Pastels, Charcoal, Ball Point Pen and Pencils.  He enjoys using an extensive and expanded color palette in his works. His current work explores ball point drawings on canvas. 3-4 pm at Main Library  Artist’s talk at 3:20.
