Work with Maplewoodshop to create woodworking tools and learn design skills in a small, hands on environment. While there will be some geometry, it will be in the service of real world applications. Lessons are adapted from the book, “From Truth to Tools” by George Walker and Jim Tolpin

Interested participants must be in grades 4-6 and register for all dates

Build a Computer

By disassembling and then rebuilding old computers you’ll learn about the different hardware components that make up a personal computer. You’ll also learn how to install RAM, hard drives, network cards, etc. Further along in the program we’ll be installing and configuring Ubuntu Linux, creating a Linux media server and building a Linux file server.  For teens and adults. Drop in.
