Giving Teens a Voice: An Open Discussion on Race for Teens
Main Library – Wednesday, Dec. 6, 4:30-6 pm. The Maplewood Memorial Library and South Orange Public Library are partnering up with the South Orange/Maplewood Community Coalition on Race to host open forums for our SOMA teens to talk about race. The first will be held at the Maplewood Memorial Library on December 6 from 4:30-6pm for middle school and high school students only. Groups will be encouraged to identify common issues and to then brainstorm ideas on how everyone can create more welcoming and supportive environments for youth throughout the community.
Pizza and drinks will be provided. Please email Teen Librarian Emily Witkowski at email@example.com to reserve your spot or to ask any questions.
