This week: Start With the End in Mind.  This topic is based on the 2nd of Steven Covey’s 7 principles.  Presenter Sumana Rangachar will speak on her own career transition and then put the group through an exercise where they can each explore their own transitions.

She helps her clients discover what has caused them stress in their careers, and learn how gain more satisfaction and enjoyment from their work.

Main Library – Career coach Tony Calabrese and IT professional Michael Dollinger will lead a meeting devoted to Mastermind Groups.

In Mastermind Groups, participants get the benefit of different perspectives, input and feedback. Attendees will share and combine ideas, critique resumes, provide interview and networking tips, and address the various stages in the job transition process by sharing insights gained through their own job search experiences.

Main Library – A special evening session targeted to job seekers of all types: younger/mature, employed/underemployed/unemployed, professional or trade. David Hays Buckley, Managing Principal of Intervyou, LLC will discuss the underpinnings of an effective job search. David will discuss various types of communication tools, both historical and new, and their effective uses. He will also examine how to utilize technology in your job search and the best ways to avoid its pitfalls. Mr. Buckley is a resident of Maplewood. Intervyou, LLC specializes in assisting individuals and groups in streamlining and effectively managing their job search.
