Still don’t know what you want to write about? Come and brainstorm with us! Genine Babakian will guide us through Common App essay topics and engage in some writing exercises that will help you narrow in on a topic that is unique to you.  

Genine Babakian is a writer and editor who has worked for newspapers, non-profits and UN agencies.  She has been conducting the Don’t Panic workshops at Hilton Library since 2013.

Stuck somewhere in the middle? Do you have a draft that needs a fresh eye? Then sign up! These one-on-one sessions with Genine Babakian are designed for students who have identified a theme and are in the process of writing a college application essay. To make the most of your 30-minute session, email your draft ahead of time to teens@maplewoodlibrary.org, and we’ll hit the ground running when you arrive.
Genine Babakian is a writer and editor who has worked for newspapers, non-profits and UN agencies.  For the past several years she has helped high school seniors polish their college application essays.
