Main Library – Join us for a reception with live music to celebrate women in the arts  on Saturday, March 9 at 1:30.  Our March exhibitor is Jill Vondervor-Frank.  When Jill retired from the business world, she rediscovered a joy and a passion while taking a watercolor course at the New Jersey Center for Visual  Arts. During her life she has consistently taken art classes, studying oil painting, charcoal portraits, sculpture, pastels, acrylics, pen & ink, and Chinese Brush Painting. She has also painted on location in Sicily and Provence.  Jill’s work has been on display at many area outdoor shows, and she has exhibited in numerous North Jersey galleries, hospitals and libraries and several NYC locations.

Live music will be provided by Maplewoodian Mary Babiarz. Mary, who plays Mary Babiarz violin, viola and piano, is currently a member of the Paper Mill Playhouse Orchestra, and currently performs with the Johnny Mathis Orchestra, the New Jersey State Opera Orchestra, the Choral Art Society of New Jersey, the Plainfield Symphony and actively freelances in the New Jersey/New York area.  Free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
