Teens Read to Kids March 2 at 3:30

Main Library – Join in the Read Across America celebration and read a picture book to kids ages 4 to 9. Each teen will read one or two picture books to the group. Thursday Night Book Club March 5 at 7 pm

Main Library – This month’s selection is The Book of Illusions by Paul Auster.   The discussion is facilitated by Library Director Sarah Lester.  Copies of the book are available through the BCCLS system. Mr. Auster will receive the 2015 Maplewood Literary Award on March 28 as part of the Library's Ideas Festival.

A Day of History–Telling the Story

Main Library * Saturday, Feb. 28 from 2-4 p.m. * All ages * Meet the women of the North Jersey Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta and celebrate their history and Black History Month. A Winter Booknic with storytelling and crafts for children will take place in the Children’s room, as well as a Spoken Word Poetry writing event for Teens and presentations on the work of this historic African American sorority.
