Homebound Services Policy

 

The Maplewood Library is pleased to offer homebound services free of charge to Maplewood Memorial Library resident card holders who are temporarily or permanently unable to travel to the Library.  All borrowing guidelines - including renewals, overdue fines and fees for lost or damaged items, apply.   • Homebound services are provided to Maplewood Memorial Library resident card holders who are temporarily or permanently unable to travel to the Library.

  • When requesting this service, the patron may be asked to describe the need for homebound services. 

  • Delivery and pick up of materials will be at regularly scheduled time, as agreed upon by the Homebound Services Coordinator and the patron, within the Maplewood Library service area.

  • Library staff will check out requested materials on the patron’s library card. 

  • Borrowers should notify the Homebound Services Coordinator when materials are ready to be returned. 

  • Materials that are not readily available may be placed on hold. The patron will receive notification when the materials are being delivered.

  • Homebound patrons are responsible for accrued overdue fines and/or fees associated with lost or damaged items.
