LIBRARY CARDS

 

Getting Your Library Card

Any person who lives, works, pays taxes or attends school in Maplewood is entitled to a library card. Students in Maplewood/South Orange public schools are entitled to a card. Apply at either library with proof of residence, employment in town, or school enrollment. Suggested proof of residence include but are not limited to a valid Driver’s License, Insurance ID Card, Homeowner’s Contract, Tenant’s Lease Agreement, or Utility Bill with the applicant’s name.

 

Borrowing privileges are suspended when:

  • accrued fines and fees reach $10.00

  • unreturned library materials are billed.

Returning Library Materials

  • Materials may be returned in person or in the book drop at any BCCLS library.

  • Overdue fines and other unpaid charges will be recorded by the computer when your items are checked in.

  • Items returned in the book drop after closing time are counted as being returned the following day.
