Easy Steps to Writing Your Memoir

Slide Show Memoir Writing July 13.jpg

Our voices are waiting to be heard. Let’s listen to them. Memoirs take many forms. We’ll have fun writing together to discover memories that ask to be put into words. John Straus will offer prompts that will make this easy. We’ll write drafts that will help us turn off the critical internal voices that can stop the flow of our words. We’ll write in 10 or 15 minute sequences and then choose whether or not to share our words. Our observations about the writing we share will be only supportive. A sense of humor will be invaluable. John Straus teaches English Composition at Rutgers-Newark. He is a professional drummer and teaches drums in his studio. He relaxes to survive.
