Our Painters on Painters series focuses on the lives and works of artists, hosted by Gerard Amsellem and Mikel Frank, the Visual Passion Duo.
Pablo Ruiz Picasso (1881-1973) was a co-founder of the Cubist movement in art, and is a co-inventor of collage. His work spans the worlds of painting, sculpture, ceramics, theater design and printmaking, and he continues to influence the art world many years after his death.
Pablo Picasso has been called, “The Genius of the Century.” But he was also a complicated and ill-tempered man. Mikel and Gerard will explore some of the many works of art he created, the events that had the greatest impact on him, and some of the relationships both male and female, which had a lasting effect on him and that he used to inspire his art.
