Maplewood Library applying for Library Construction Bond Act Funding

On November 7, 2017, New Jersey voters approved the NJ Library Construction Bond Act, making $125 million available for public library construction throughout the state. After a period of public comment in late 2019, the grant offering is now available, and Maplewood Memorial Library is working with stakeholders to submit its application prior to the April, 2020, deadline.

“Our plan is in place for a beautiful, inspiring 21st century library, and we have strong support from the Maplewood Township Committee, the Library Board of Trustees, the Maplewood Library Foundation, and organizations and individuals throughout the community,” says Library Director Sarah Lester.
